1807 Redbirds to FIRST Champs

Donation protected
Located in the small town of Allentown, NJ, Redbird Robotics is a high school FIRST Robotics team made up of creative and motivated students with guidance from dedicated mentors.

The 23, tight-knit members of 1807 consistently and actively challenge themselves, taking adversity in stride. Their size pushes most members to multitask in their roles. Their alumni attend their top schools, including NYU, RIT, Olin, UMass Amherst, Rutgers, and Drexel.  From their small woodshed workspace, they have crafted a simple, yet effective robot over 6 weeks for the 2017 FIRST Robotics Competition season. Their efforts have finally been rewarded.

“Watching the team in action is amazing. They have consistently demonstrated the ideas and actions to be successful, and there is no doubt this will translate to the professional world beyond their academic experiences. Powered by their great work in robotics, it’s exciting to think about the future goals these students will achieve”

-David DePinho, Vice President,Group Publisher at a national medical publications organization and Team 1807 Redbirds Mentor

While Team 1807 Redbird Robotics works hard every year,  the 2017 season has been distinctly successful. The Redbirds not only qualified for the Mid-Atlantic District Championship - their first time doing so - but against all supposed odds won the championship title.

Having secured the win, the team achieved the amazing opportunity of competing in the FIRST Robotics World Championship in St. Louis. However, they need your help. With expenses regarding registration, shipping, and travel, the team carries an extensive financial burden, one they currently face with little support.

With your assistance, the Redbirds will finally experience the tech world beyond their local area, represent Allentown High School at the highest level of robotics, and further their STEM education to become tomorrow’s inventors, engineers, and pioneers.

Any donation is greatly appreciated to help us achieve this goal. If interested, please donate or spread the word!

Sincerely,

Redbird Robotics, Team 1807
