Single mom of 2 recovering from surgery


I am a single mom with two school age boys (7-11 years old). I have list load of health problems one being a big aneurysm that requires surgery right away.

I finally got my call for my surgery. I go in March 5th. When I go in for my surgery I have to travel to Vancouver (which is about 3-4 hours away) which includes 1h of driving to the ferry, a almost 2h ferry ride then about 1h taxi ride which is about $90. This still doesn’t include my gas for my 1h drive to the ferry, the ferry cost, hotel cost for about 4 days and the cost of a babysitter while I am away.

I have to be down two days before my surgery and I will be staying one night after I am released to make sure I am good to travel as I am traveling by myself all the way.

so I am asking for help so I can get by and make ends meet by helping pay for bills (utilities, travel expenses, child care, etc) as I still am not able to work before my surgery. I have been off work for about two months because of bad nerve pain and nerve damage in my right arm which had caused weakness.
