Blessings for Maelée

Maelée Ann Leonard was born on Feb.23, 2015.

Nick and Macée, her parents, along with her big sister Ella welcomed her into their little happy family.  Maelée routinely was uncomfortable going to the bathroom like most infants, but when she was about 4 months she began to seem uncomfortable all the time and her stomach was distended. Last July doctors discovered a tumor near her coccyx (tailbone)  which was blocking the urinary and GI function. On July 14th Maelée underwent surgery to remove the tumor where they also removed her tailbone.  After sending the tumor to many pathologist around the country, Nick and Macée recieved the news that it was malignant. Maelée started Chemo last summer and in December got a 3 month repreive. This past month more devasting news that she would need to continue chemo for the next 42 weeks.


Maelée will be 1 year old on the 23rd of February. Her sister Ella just turned 2 yrs old last fall. While both Nick and Macée work to try to find their new normal, taking time off work and medical bills are making finances burdensome.

Our hope is to try to relieve some of their financial burden while they continuet this journey into whatever and all treatments that are neccesary for their daughter's future. Travel, food, medical bills all add up and make this stressful, painfull journey even more of a burden.
