Lyndsay's Cervical Cancer Bills

$20,580 of $22,000 goal

My wife Lyndsay was diagnosed with invasive cervical cancer last month. She has already undergone a full hysterectomy and, as she is in recovery, she cannot work as much as she wishes she could. She will also be receiving chemotherapy and radiation for five weeks starting in January. The hospital bills are already starting to come in and it has become a struggle to pay our regular monthly bills as well. We are so grateful for anything that you might be able to contribute to help us. Thank you

Hi friends and family! We once again want to thank all of you so much for your generosity, love, and support over the last 6 months. This will hopefully be my last plea for financial help this year. Lyndsay just got hit with some major bills this month including her student loans, taxes, and some more hospital bills. She is still trying to catch up with work and is not able to pay this crazy amount of money until she gets more work and paychecks under her belt. We appreciate anything you might be able to contribute at this time. I'm so sorry to ask after all you have already helped us with, but I just want to try and help her feel like she isn't drowning in debt. We love each of you and hope we can return the favor to each of you in the future. Thank you so much.

This has been a momentous day! Lyndsay finished her final round of chemo in the hospital! As far as we know, she is currently in remission. There will be more check ups and tests the next few weeks and months, but she did it! In the words of her roommate and her roommate's husband in the hospital, Lyndsay is a guerrera (warrior)! Thank you all so so much for your incredible support. It has helped us immensely! We are forever grateful for all of you and the love and generosity you have shown us. We love each of you and hope good things come to everyone. Here's to Lyndsay the warrior and her journey onward and upward! :)

Hey friends and family! We're coming into the final stretch of Lyndsay's Cervical Cancer treatment. Tomorrow night she will be admitted to Bellevue hospital again for what we hope to be the last week of chemo! We're so grateful to all of you for all of your love, generosity, and support. You have helped us stay strong and pulled us through moments of weakness. We are still struggling financially, but will hopefully get back into the swing of things next month. We love you all very much and hope you know how special each one of you are to us. Here's to hoping this is her last week in the hospital! She's a true warrior! So proud of you Lyndsay!

Lyndsay ended up in the ER at Bellevue hospital last night after spiking a fever of 103°. She has been admitted to the hospital for pancytopenia, being neutropenic, and is exhibiting signs of infection somewhere in her body. She is currently in "reverse isolation" in room 15 N 39 at Bellevue hospital to protect her immune system from the rest of the hospital. You can still visit her, but just make sure you are not sick and that you don't bring in any bacteria from the outside world like food or flowers. This will probably alter some of her scheduled dates for the rest of her chemo and radiation. She hasn't been able to eat the past few days and her immune system is very weak. They will most likely keep her there until her white blood cells return to a normal level and she can keep food down.

I really hope she can bounce back from this smoothly. You all mean so much to us. And I thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done for us and are still doing to help us. I don't know what we would do without all of you.

Stay strong. Take one day, one hour, one minute at a time. You will get through this. You will be stronger, wiser and more compassionate on the other side. You are seeing how loved you are and how important you are. You have a huge team of people thinking about you, praying for you. Lyndsay, you are loved!

I was just moved to tears when I saw that Lyndsay donated to another friend's medical bill fundraiser. After all she is facing and all the expenses she has mounting up, she still donated to help someone else. When people say the world is falling apart, and everyone is selfish, and people like Trump are the face of American politics, and I just want to throw in the towel, I will remember that there are people like this in the world.
