Hello, it’s my birthday day month. I was rescued out of a mountain range in the month of August 3 years ago from near death by a really nice lady. She took me straight to an emergency hospital where I had to stay for 10 days battling a pluthra of things that were trying to kill me all at the same time. A lot of people chipped in to help me get the emergency medical care that I needed to save my life. My emergency care to save my life was nearly $11,000 . I really appreciate the 2nd chance at the life that everyone has given me and the life I always deserved. I’ve been making the most out of my 2nd chance. I’m about 14 years old now and you’d never know it by looking at me accept for my bum back leg from a old injury that was never repaired by my previous people that dumped me on that dusty old road in that remote mountain range to die with nothing and no one. My rescuer paid the over $3000,00 that was not able to be raised in my fundraising campaign as well as all my medications that were sent with me upon exiting the emergency animal hospital. I had to be hand fed boiled organic chicken n rice mixture for weeks because I was still really sick and had to have assistance from my rescuer to get around for several weeks as well. Once I felt a bit better than I had to follow up with a oncologist at California veterinary care because I also had cancer. My rescuer has been very kind to me and gave me a loving place to call home with her. My rescuer/furmom has been very giving n kind to me and has provided me with quality food, caregiving and makes sure that I get a veterinary house call 2-3 times per year to address things that come up with me and get my wellness checks. I have to have a veterinarian come to see me at my home because I have a very hard time getting in and out of a little car because of my bum back leg that is very bothersome. SometimesI have accidents because of my bum back leg and because I’m a senior citizen. My rescuer/furmom doesn’t make a fuss of it and just cleans it up. Most of the time I feel pritty good these days. Sometimes I do have bad days and I do require extra care n attention and some assistance hoisting up from the floor. I have been on thyroid pills and pain medication for 2 years. I had bad teeth when I was rescued and a old leg injury that was never addressed because I had so many other problems that were bigger than those 2 problems. I could use a little help with a few things. I’d like to get my teeth cleaned and extractions that may be needed because my mouth bothers me. My furmom is concerned about it and has had several estimates that were over $1200. My furmom was able to find a low cost dental clinic at Mary S Roberts in riverside that is a lot less expensive than all the other quotes. It will be between $500-$600. I also need to follow up exam visit with my oncologist to make sure I’m still cancer free $250 exam/consult fee and I also am do for a full panel blood work up which will run about $250. These are the basic things that I really need to keep on tract with my wellness. I’m not sure if you know this about my rescuer/furmom but she has rescued many others since me off the streets and out of local kill shelters. She also dedicates many hours to assisting other rescues with transport, hosting fundraisers on the behalf of non profit 501c rescues and temporary houses pups in transition for other rescues as well as gives what she can in financial charity towards other rescues that are willing to accept into there rescue other shelter dogs that are in crisis and are at risk to be euthanized for being homeless. . She has been very busy in the rescue world since she rescued me. My furmom also has taken in some other rescued furbabes that require insulin for diabetic and other furbabes that require very costly monthly needs. We rarely reach out for those here in our care. We usually only reach out upon an initial emergency with a new furbabe in crisis. There are many here at Needs such as a total of 9 kittens that we’ve rescued from different locations that all need vaccinations, spay/neuter that will run at a low cost clinic $183.00 per kitten. We have 3 small dogs that we’ve recently rescued that are awaiting neuter/spay and vaccines that will run about $200.00 per dog at the low cost clinic. So we’ve got a lot of current needs going on here and we would appreciate any financial assistance towards helping some of the deserving fursouls.

Happy Birthday Month Too “Saint Miss Maggie” !!! We are celebrating the whole month of August. This birthday month marks 3 years that she was rescued, saved, rebirthed and got the life she always deserved. And she has been making the most out of it. Miss Maggie has had a few medical downers since we all came together and helped Miss Maggie in August of 2015 but we have addressed each medical issue that has presented itself. I would like to invite you to join in on Miss Maggie’s August 2018 Birthday celebration. I have added some much needed funds to Miss Maggie’s campaign to help cover a much needed dental for Miss Maggie and a full panel blood work up/exam and a visit to her oncologist exam fee. The amount I’ve raised her campaign is not what the total cost are going to be. The cost will be quite more than what I’ve raised her campaign to. We’re just asking for a little help to give Miss Maggie a nice birthday gift of continued wellness. Join us in wishing Miss Maggie Happy 14th Birthday and as many more birthdays as possible. Thank You from Miss Maggie and Friends...

She looks terrific. What a beautiful old girl. You can be very proud of the good work you have done. I think that there's a "lesson" for you in your decision to save Maggie. I don't know what it is, but I think this experience has taught you something valuable, that will last even long after Maggie is gone. For myself, I am reminded once again how many good and caring people there are in the world, if one reaches out. Bless you - and them!
