Hello everyone, my name is Zosia (pronounced zho-sha). Let me tell you my story.
When my mommy was pregnant with me and my twin sister Tosia, during one of her regular check ups the doctors gave her the choice to either carry my sister to term (bad news for me!) or risk both our lives by going into labor far ahead of schedule. That's how Tosia and I came into this world prematurely in week 33.
Tosia got quite lucky and was born without significant long term issues. As for me, let's just say it wasn't my luckiest day. Due to intrauterine hypoxia (fancy word!) I was born with cerebral palsy.
The doctors weren't optimistic about how much I'll be able to develop. But I'm a fighter and I'm determined to prove them wrong! My mommy works very hard to make sure I get every opportunity to get better. We go to therapy in our city and sometimes we even take trips to specialized hospitals. Those are my favorites because I see the most improvement!
That's why I need your help. Mommy found this therapy called MEDEK (Dynamic Method of Kinetic Stimulation), which has proven to show impressive results. Sadly, it's not available in Poland where we live.
Good news: we get to go to London (maybe).
Bad news: the therapy costs $5,000. I'm too little to understand what that means but mommy says that with all the other medical expenses, we don't have enough to go.
Help me on my journey to normal life. I want to keep developing and getting stronger, and if you help me go to London, I'll have extra motivation to show all of you how great I can do!
