MY STORY:
Hi, I am a high school student living in Canada.
I've originally been tasked with creating a board game for my Entrepreneurship course. However, since most people in my class love playing the draft of this game, I've decided to take it a step further. I have experienced knowledge in the business industry, and know a ton about marketing. With my board game idea, I am looking to start an individual company, and work my way up to compete with other board games such as Monopoly. Unfortunately, making this game will require many costs, which I cannot provide myself. That is why I need your help to fund my project. Until the end of January 12, my goal is to get $200.00, for the first 25 sets.
Game Information:
This game, will innovate the original snakes and ladders game. Concepts of tag, power-ups, and strategy will also be added towards this game. ZombEscape gurrantees a thrilling experience for small groups of friends. Recommended for ages 8+, 2-4 players.
Components:
Each set will consist of:
- A board
- 38 unique power-up cards (19 for human, 19 for zombie). (More can be added in the future).
- A die
- 4 characters (2 humans, 2 zombies)
- 9 game pieces/tokens
- Instructions booklet
Sample Chance Cards/Powerups:
Blue = Human
Green = Zombie
Cards will look something similar like this:
Rules/How this game will work:
When playing with an odd number of people, the majority will be human. With even number, play with even sides.
The goal for humans, is to try to reach the 100th square tile. If any human succeeds in doing that, then the humans win the game.
The goal for zombies, is to try to kill every last human. If all of the humans' lives are gone, they win.
1. Choose a side: Human or Zombie. Human(s) goes first, Zombie(s) go last.
2. Roll the dice and move your character with that amount. (For the first turn, humans roll the dice 3 times and move to the combined amount.)
3. Both sides can move forward and backward.
4. When a Human lands on a ? square, he/she picks up one random card from the human card deck.
5. When a Zombie lands on a ! square, he/she picks up one random card from the zombie deck.
6. Kill each other by landing on an opposing character’s piece, or a card’s ability. Zombies have infinite lives, humans start with 3.
7. Cards with a lightning symbol = quick use. The card must be used immediately. Those without, can be used at any given time.
8. Cards are placed back into the decks after use. Only 1 card may be used per person per 1 turn.
Board Symbols:
Gravestone: Exclusive only to Zombies: The choice to teleport to any other gravestone on the board on your next turn. (No dice roll if you choose to teleport)
✖️: Go back to the start.
⚫: Skip the next 2 turns.
❕: Exclusive only to Zombies: Acquire a random card from the Zombie deck.
❔: Exclusive only to Humans: Acquire a random card from the Zombie deck.
