Friends! We're building an eco-lodge in Colombia!
As some of you know, Colombia is emerging from a six decades long civil conflict and is seeing an explosion in tourism. Tourism has become a driving force of the economy...and rightfully so! Colombia is a beautiful country. As the second most biodiverse country in the world, our family believes the tourism industry should develop in a conscious and sustainable way that protects the environment.
Our family's eco-lodge is on a piece of land we have owned and a forest we have been stewards of since the 1950s. Our dream is to build a beautiful place for visitors to connect with nature, generate employment in an area that greatly needs it, and play a part in the environmentally-conscious development of tourism in our region.
We are planning on opening our hotel in January of 2019. Construction is moving along steadily. Over the next few weeks, we are hoping to raise funds to help us furnish the hotel- no small feat for 9,000 square feet! The funds we raise will help us buy curtains, mattresses, bed frames, dinner tables, and much, much more! We are beyond excited to share this special part of the world with our guests but we need a little help.

For our generous donors, we're happy to provide some perks! For every $90 dollars you donate, get one night in one of our suites, which sleeps up to 3 adults or 2 adults/2 children. Rent out the entire hotel if you'd like, for you and your closest friends! Breakfast and dinner are included! As is the charming company of our father Alvaro.
