I’ve started this go fund me to aid a lovely friend of mine. He has many medical issues that already dilapidates his mobility, he also suffers from depression and anxiety.
Up until recently he was in receipt of DLA (indefinite award) but since PiP has now come in - the assessor (who lied) has changed all of that and now he will receive nothing at all !!
Although he is going through the appeal system and doing everything in the correct manner, there are such delays (some reports up to 60 weeks) that in that time he will lose his already adapted mobility vehicle. Without this car - he is unable to get to any of his medical appointments (some at Guys hospital others at Brighton) and he will lose his independence completely, leaving him housebound. He has the option to “buy” the vehicle from mobility - but can not afford it and although he has friends - we would never get all the funds together in time for this to happen - I believe he has until 1st May - the car to buy would be £15,000 - but in reality we know this amount would never be possible, so we are aiming for enough to get him a 2nd hand car that someone else can drive for him!! I sincerely thank you in advance for any help you are able to offer, no matter how small because you’ll be giving my lovely friend a chance, that has been taken away from him!! ❤️
