Miss Reisman’s Third Grade Class

This year I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and I have been given so much love and support from my family! People have wanted to send flowers and gifts, and instead I asked them to please make donations to my classroom. Unfortunately, schools cannot provide the funds teachers need to create an up to date classroom that runs smoothly, and teachers are left spending their own money on supplies. Instead of giving gifts, donating to my class is a gift that keeps on giving. 

As a second year, third grade teacher who cares so much about fostering a loving, warm atmosphere for her students, it is challenging to not go into debt at the beginning of the school year. There is so much that goes into making a successful room that is welcoming and creates an environment that works for all students. 

One of my goals for my classroom this year is  to develop a much larger classroom library. Third grade is such a significant, pivotal year for reading. My students spend a significant portion of the day digging through books and finding a cozy spot to read in the room. I am hoping to buy a large variety of series, more diverse books with different reading levels, get sturdier book organizer bins, two more bookshelves, rugs (because we have tiled floor), lamps, and bean bags.

-Globe 
-Extra dry erase markers
- Extra Lysol wipes (we always run out)
-Math manipulatves (dice, rulers,clocks, number charts)
