Zealous Zayvians AT/RT Cancer Fight

Donation protected
2 year old Zayvian became unresponsive at home on Dec. 30, 2017 and was taken to Carle ER where a CT scan showed bleeding on the brain along with a mass.  He was flown to Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago where a team of doctors removed the brain tumor on Jan. 2, 2018.

We received the news on Jan. 9, 2018 that the tumor was an AT/RT brain tumor.   AT/RT is a very rare and very aggressive cancer generally found in children 3 years of age and younger.  The treatment protocol is very aggressive as well.   Zayvian has started his 52 week chemotherapy protocol and will receive radiation after the 52 weeks of chemotherapy is completed.  Since AT/RT is rare and the local hospitals do not have the necessary resources for this type of cancer, his parents are currently traveling to Chicago on a weekly basis for Zayvian to receive chemotherapy as well as taking care of their three other children.

The traveling costs as well as lost wages are beginning to take a financial toll on the family and I’m hoping that family and friends will consider donating so that Zayvian’s parents can focus on his treatment and recovery as well as their other children at this time.

If you are unable to financially help Zayvian’s family, please help by sharing this with everyone you know. Thank you in advance!
