My friend, Nicole McCoy Cureington, was recently diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in her neck. It has metastasized to her lymph nodes, and she is gearing up for a fight.
She will be doing 8-12 weeks of radiation, chemotherapy, and possibly a surgery.
She is fortunate to be able to be treated at MD Anderson in Houston, but this will require her to be there for most of this summer.
Nicole is a wife and mother (of 2 amazing kids). She works as a pharmacy technician, at St. Francis hospital, and she is a wonderful friend to so many. Obviously, this news has been hard to understand and process. She and her family covet your prayers as they begin this journey.
Nicole will have to find a place to live while undergoing treatment. She will also be off of work for some time, and will have to take on the added financial stress of a second household (as making multiple 6-hour one way trips in a week simply isn’t practical). . We will be doing multiple fundraisers to help defray some of these costs, and would seriously appreciate any financial support that you could give.
