EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN IN ZAMBIA

Hi! We, Zambia Group at Kungsholmens Gymnasium, located in Stockholm, Sweden, are raising money to sponsor childrens’ education in Zambia. Kungsholmens Gymnasium, an Upper Secondary school, has an exchange with two schools in Zambia. Chinika High School in Lusaka, and Hillcrest National Technical High School in Livingstone. Each year (during fall semester) a couple of Zambian teachers and principals visit our school in Stockholm, and in the spring term teachers and students from our school visit the two partner schools in Zambia.

Zambia Group is a non-profit organization, run by students at Kungsholmens Gymnasium. Each year money is collected to bring when our students visit Zambia during the spring semester. This money is used to fund childrens' education. A school year at most public schools in Zambia costs around 850 SEK (100 USD) per student. Many children have issues to pay this fee due to private economic struggles. Over the course of the last two years, Zambia Group has raised about 30 000 SEK (3500 USD) to sponsor children at Chinika High School and Hillcrest National Technical High School.

Now we need your help to raise as much money as possible before our trip to Zambia. Before we leave, in the middle of March, we have set a goal to reach. We are hoping to collect 10 000 SEK (1200 USD), let's see how far we'll go!
