July 2015, my son Zachary was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He started fifteen weeks of chemotherapy. After chemo, he had twenty five days of radiation therapy. He was then considered in remission.
His quarterly oncology visits were promising, until a few weeks ago. It was discovered that he had relapsed and the cancer has returned.
This time, not only will he undergo more intensive chemo therapy, but he will also have to undergo a bone marrow transplant, which will require him to be in the hospital for up to four weeks.
Compounding expenses not covered by insurance or financial assistance will be exprensive and add up quickly. Funds will be used to assist with these expenses.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and any funds not used will be donated to Seattle Children's Hospital oncology and the Strong Against Cancer foundation.
