Supporting Kinsey

As most of you know, Kinsey and I have been studying abroad in France for three weeks now. Just a few nights ago this beautiful girl was hospitalized with a severe case of bacterial meningitis. Kinsey and I have been best friends, and roommates, for 3 years now. At 3am on Saturday morning I went to check on her because she hadn't been feeling good and we had to call an ambulance. By the time we got to the hospital, she was already in a coma. The Dr's put her in a medically induced coma to prevent any further damages to her brain due to the swelling. As of yesterday, she has been taken off of the anestesthia and is still in a coma. Now we are just waiting, and hoping she wakes up. We will not know the extent of the brain injuries for sure until she wakes up. 
      I have known Kinsey and her family very well for a while now and they are like a second family to me. I know that all of this is heartbreaking to me and I can't even begin to imagine what her parents are giong through. I am raising money to help with the hospital bills and the flight cost of them coming out here. I am hoping to also get her boyfriend out here, soon, as well. The severity of her injuries is high, and we will know more as the day goes on. 
    Any amount will help, and sharing this post will help as well. I am lucky to know and share a bond with such an amazing girl and am praying every second that she comes back to us.
