Hi, hello, howdy!
We are West Dallas artists who have unfortunately gotten used to turning the other way when it comes to stray animals. One week ago we were asked for help by a 6 pound puppy and could not resist. We are asking for your help paying for the puppy's leg surgery so that she starts the next stage of her life on the right foot.
Wilma — that's what we've named her — is a stray 8-mos old wire haired chihuahua who showed up at our studio last Saturday, April 2nd. We've already taken Wilma to Metro Paws Animal Hospital for shots, de-worming, de-ticking, antibiotics, x-rays and we will also be having her spayed.
Your donation will go toward Wilma's leg surgery. Her right front leg was broken and has healed improperly leaving her with a leg that bends in the wrong place (gross!) and surgery is estimated at a whopping $1,682. As soon as we have the funds we will schedule her operation.
Over the past week Wilma has transformed from a scared, lethargic puppy covered in 150+ ticks to a hilarious, rambunctious and loving little dog. She shows no signs of aggression in regards to food, water or other dogs. We are currently searching for Wilma's forever home but as long as we have her we will do right by her.
