Dear friends,
Our cousin Sarah and her family have just embarked on a difficult journey, and we are here to ask for your help.
Sarah and her husband, Shane, are the proud parents of two awesome, spirited boys, Davin and Ravin. Their younger son, Ravin, was recently diagnosed with a
treatable form of lymphoma, which is a cancer of the lymphatic system. This started with some loose permanent teeth, a swollen jaw, and mild stomach pain. After a dentist visit it was a blur of ENTs, family doctors, biopsies, scans, and blood tests. His mysterious symptoms led him to UNC Chapel Hill and his final diagnosis of lymphoma. He has 6 months to 2 years of chemotherapy ahead of him.
No one can plan for this kind of bump in the road, so we want to find a way to relieve them of at least some of this financial burden. Gas and travel expenses to and from the hospital (it's an hour away), medical, and even general living expenses will add up quickly throughout this time. Together we can help reduce their stress so they can focus on what's important: Ravin.
This little cutie is 6 years old, a recent graduate of kindergarten, and a lover of sports...especially wrestling. He's a bundle of energy, joy, and strength.
Our family is small and tight knit, so Ravin's health and recovery is indescribably important to all of us. Please give if you can. Our family is infinitely grateful for your support.
