Gavin's Fund for The Cavaliers
Donation protected
Hello everyone! My name is Gavin Stewart, and I'm a sophomore at Western Carolina Univerity. I'm currently studying Communication with concentrations in Broadcasting and Journalism. After school, I hope to work in some sort of production whether it be news, radio, television, or any kind of other communication.
Music has always been a large part of my life, and I have been fortunate to recieve the most exciting news in my musical career. I have recieved a contract on Baritone from The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps based out of Rosemont, Illinois. Basically what this means is I have been given the oppurtunity to perform across the United States in competition with one of the top World Class drum & bugle corps. To say this is a dream of mine is an understatement.
My first season with The Cavaliers will be in memory of my mother, Melissa Foy, and my brother, Gary Stewart. I have lost them both over the past year, and all they ever wanted for me was to do great things.
Tuition for The Cavaliers for a 1st year member is $3,100. However, if I can pay my tuition in full before March 18, the tuition is reduced to $2,800. Right now, my goal is $3,000 because I will need to be able to travel from western North Carolina to Chicago, Illinois about once a month until May and make payments to The Cavaliers.
Like I said, to say perfroming with The Cavaliers is a dream of mine is an understatement, and I will be incredibly thankful for those who can even donate $1. I want to be able to learn and bond with my fellow musicians to better myself as a person and a musician. The Cavaliers can be included on a resume for my future endeavors, and it can be treasered in my heart forever.
