Who we are:
The Cleats of Fire is a registered AAU & USATF Youth Track & Field Club, that provides the foundation and building blocks for a successful career in the sport of track and field. Our youth program is a feeder program for high school teams and positions student athletes for collegiate scholarship opportunities. Our summer program is challenging, exciting and broadens the athletes approach to adulthood.
What we do:
Kids enter the program as young as three years of age and progress thru the age of eighteen years of age, and become young productive members of society. We compete all over the United States, and in 2008, we took four kids to Berlin Germany to compete in the European championships.
Athletes learn the importance and meaning of education, respect, teamwork and good sportsmanship. We assist/direct kids in events that yields result in becoming a National Campion or National Finalist. This aligns them for collegiate scholarships. This year, our high school girls track and field team won State for the first time in our schools history. Of the eleven girls that competed on the championship team, seven earned all state honors, and those seven athletes received the foundation and building blocks to begin their journey.
What we need:
This season, we are taking 9 athletes to Norfolk, Virginia to compete in the 2015 AAU Junior Olympic Games Aug. 1st - Aug. 8th. We are seeking donations of any amount to assist with costs for gasoline, hotel and registration expensis funding 9 atheletes. No matter how big or how small your donation, it will add to our $3500 goal. EVERY donation is grately appreciated!!!
