Former Fire Chief looses everything

On the night of February 8, 2016, one of our community’s servants was awoken to the sounds of fire alarms as smoke rapidly filled his home. Bruce Engelke, a volunteer firefighter with over 14 years of service (8 as a fire chief) to Wilson County, lost his home of 16 years to a fire. As of February 9th, gone are the physical effects of his grown family and late wife. With only the clothes on his back and a few smoke damaged clothes pulled from the home, one of our own local heroes is in need of help from the community he loves and sacrificed so much to support.
