Uncovered medical bills

This is Kathleen Fitzgerald MD, aka Kathy, aka Kathy Bert.  I'll try to make this short.  After a successful career 1st as ObGyn then as Gyn surgeon only, I was forced to retire in Dec. 2012 because I couldn't feel my hands.  Can't function if you can't hold the instrurments. Unfortunately I lost everything except my dogs, partly because my second ex-husband did a little pilfering of things that I paid for.) An pedestrian-MVA accident in '85 almost cost me my life and my left leg.  Those who know my devotion to horses and riding-that became impossible.  So my hobby was breeding and showing Standard Schnauzers.  I only have Social Security to live on, in a 40 year trailer in a senior citizens trailer park.  Very different from my previous life.  In the 4+ years since retirement I have gotten very poor advice on Medicare and Advantage plans.  And last year topped it. The picture you see at the beginnig of this campaign is the result of the first of 6 falls in Oct and Nov.  It turns out that I am responsible for copays which I hadn't been in 2014-15 when I shattered my right tibial plateau when a ladder went out from underneath me.  Between surgery copays, 2 ambulance rides, ER visits, etc., etc., etc. I owe money for medical care.  And don't think hospitals don't send accounts to collections because they do.  I have 3 in collection right now.  All I want to do is to pay off these bills.  And the government has lowered the % of the federal poverty ;limit to qualify for certain types of assitance to 250%.  I am at 258%.  I hate owing, and it has taken me 4 years to figure out this being poor stuff.
This is an ACOG px from years ago when I was very active in medical politics at the state, regional and national level.
I will never return to the past but I would be extremely grateful fo any help you can give.  I was a very good if not excellent doc, but a ousy business person and a terrible at choosing partners, whther marital or business.
