Arkansas Aerials LLC was created in early 2011.  We are a radio control aerial video and production company based in Little Rock, Arkansas. http://www.arkansasaerials.com

As avid hobbyists in radio control planes, we set out to create a affordable aerial video / photography company for the local production industry utilizing custom designed drones.

Our relationship with the local FAA started in February 2015, where we began looking a how to comply with the latest changes regarding federal regulation. The following information was provided from our local FAA:

1. Obtain Pilot's Certificate

2. Obtain Medical Certificate

3. Register Aircraft

4. Apply for 333 Exemption

5. Apply of COA

We are reaching for aid in the cost of obtaining our full scale pilots certificate. We've modestly asked for just what's required for the training for 1 full-scale pilots certificate.

We currently hold a 3rd class student certificate, our 333 is being reviewed, and our regestration is underway.

While we all agree the ideal of needing a personal vehicle drivers license to operate a rc car is ridiculous, the FAA sees operation of our rc "drones" (toys according to multiple manufactures) no different than flying a several hundred - thousand pound manned aircraft.

We have released several news interviews and publications on the topic of safty, and believe we are the flagship for safe operation of the technology in our state, boasting 0 claims over 4 years. Please visit our site's press page at www.arkansasaerials.com/press

Operations are conducted utilizing the highest standards of safety outlined in federal advisory circulars, AMA guidelines, and our specific RCAP liability insurance program - a 2MM blanket policy, more than most individuals car insurance just to fly 10lbs drones.

Thank you Arkansas, and our friends in neighboring states for affording us this opportunity to continue safe operation with a COA in the near future.
