Krista Recovery- Victim of Uninsured Drunk Driver
Donation protected
On May 4, 2019 my little sister Krista was hit by a drunk driver while crossing the street. She was thrown 50 feet, landing on her head. This caused severe brain trauma, as well as a compound fracture in her leg, a broken wrist, three fractures in her cheek and eye socket, a broken nose, a bruised lung, road rash, a skull fracture, and extensive bruising. Because of the severity of her head injury, she is currently in a medically induced coma in the ICU.

To say that this has been devastating to our family is an understatement. There is no indication of how long she will be in this condition. Due to the seriousness of her injuries, she will require lengthy and costly rehabilitation . The truth is that we have no idea when she will wake up.
The drunk driver who hit her was driving a car that was uninsured. So, the person who should be responsible for the horrific consequences of this accident will never be able to fully answer these obligations. Our parents drive over two hours every day to be with her and offer support, encouragement, and most importantly, to talk to her. Your support would help to alleviate the financial as well as other unforeseen burdens Krista and our family face and will continue to face in the months to come, including care, travel, and other needs. We truly appreciate all efforts to help our family.
