The Lamb Twins Last Leg Treatment

Donation protected
Carolyn and I (Catherine) are on the last leg of our limb lengthening journey. In June we will be heading down to West Palm Beach, Florida to the Paley Orthopedic and Spine Institute for a final surgical correction.

For those of you who don't know, Carolyn and I were born with a genetic deformity of our legs known as Bilateral Tibia Hemimelia. It is quite rare and we both were affected on all 4 of our legs. It has traditionally been treated with amputation, which for us would have meant amputation of both legs at the knee for both of us.

Through a series of fortunate events our mom found the only surgeon in North America who was doing limb lengthening instead of amputation. We were at just the right age  for him to save our limbs.

We have had a number of limb lengthening and deformity correction procedures over the years all performed by Dr. Dror Paley, the world renowned pioneer in limb lengthening and deformity correction.

It is time for us to go see him again for a few final corrections.

We will need to get to Florida and back, stay for a month, rent a car and of course, eat, while we are there. There will also be hospital and other medical bills beyond what our insurance will cover. We are attempting to raise $10,000 to help us with this journey. Anything you can give will help!
