YWAM Costa Rica Mission Trip

Dear Friends and Family,
From June 23-30 I’m excited to be headed to San Jose, Costa Rica as part of a mission trip with my youth group from Grace Community Church. We’re going to work with friends at Youth With A Mission (YWAM). YWAM is a global movement of Christians from many denominations dedicated to presenting Jesus personally to this generation, to mobilizing as many as possible to help in this task, and to the training and equipping of believers for their part in fulfilling the Great Commission.
I am very excited to be going on this trip. This will be the first time that I have ever traveled outside of the country, which makes this experience even more special. We will be working through various types of ministry, which may include: Evangelism, Base-Projects, Children’s Ministries, Bible Ministry, and other Service Projects in the community. Our time there will make a difference in the lives of children and families living under the challenges of impoverished conditions. Our time will also include fun activities and visiting local attractions.
I would love it if you would pray for this mission trip experience. Pray for the group of us who are going – that we would be open to learning from the community we’re visiting and grow closer as a group and closer to Jesus. Pray for the YWAM staff who are living in Costa Rica year-round and will be leading us during this trip. Pray for the people we meet – that we could love and honor them well. Finally, pray for me – that I could really experience Jesus in a fresh and effective way.
