The SaabMap Project: An Interactive Saab Worldmap.

Donation protected
Hi Saab/car enthusiasts!
We are working on the SaabMap project for the Saab community. Together with Jeroen, Willem, Désiree and Bas, we have the ambition to develop the first visual and interactive Saab platform for the whole Saab Community.

The idea

A responsive web platform. Showing you a world map with interactive markers. These markers will represent car owners, service centres, part retailers, events and much more. Everything you need to make your Saab experience more comftable and interesting.

Free to sign up to and participate for all private owners. With the service chat, manual database and the DYI guide, this will be the most complete and collaborative platform for every Saab owner out there.

Benefits as a Saab enthusiast
If you are a Saab enthusiast, starter or even a Saab veteran, you know finding the right part for the right price can be quite a challenge. Saab is gone and we only have eachother and the companies that once crossed our path to find what we are looking for. From now on just one source to find what you’re looking for, and in most cases finding even more!

·         Find all available private and dealer Saab cars for sale.
·         Find all available private and dealer Saab parts for sale.
·         Find the closest Saab specialist, rated by the community.
·         Find all the possible Saab webshops, rated by the community.
·         Find and attend Saab events near you or abroad.
·         Filter your world map, based on all possible Saab specifications.
·         Communicate with companies and other Saab owners.
·         Free use of our home-made DYI guides and manual database.
·         Distance filter: find what you need within your preferred distance.

The team

In 2019 we completed the team as it is now. With back-end developer Jeroen Ketelaar and Bas van der Heuvel, Website Optimizer Désiree Laureijssen and Willem Vader is leading the financial administration. A Dutch team operating from the Netherlands and the United States.

The plan
2019 is the year we wanted to deliver. Even though we made some hudge progress in the back-end section of our platform, we are still behind on our front-end development. Forcing us to move up to early 2020. The plan is to go live before summer 2020, in a way all Saab owners will benefit. Development of the basic framework is in progress, we can soon start testing and schedule future development. To make sure we can implement all the functionalities and meet our goals concerning the look & feel of our platform, we will be outsourcing this to a dedicated Front-End developer.

Expected launch, if all goals are met, would be May 2020.

How you could help
Together we can keep Saab alive, even more alive then it ever was. Our team is able to do most of the development in-house and voluntarily. But we need your support to make sure we can pay for the domain, server, Google API's and the oursourcing of our Front-End design.

Feel free to donate and help making this new platform a succes!

On behalf of the community and the SaabMap team, thank you for your donation.
