Meet Emma! Emma is awesome. Emma is a strong young woman filled with kindness, compassion, love and life. She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Emma is 17, going into her senior year of high school with dreams to do some amazing things in this world.
One day, not too long ago, cancer decided to show up at Emma's doorstep to try and steal away all those hope and dreams. Little did that cancer know that Emma is a warrior and she will be unshakable in her pursuit to kick cancer's ass.
Unfortunately the other ugly side to this battle is cost. Emma has Stage 2 Hodgkins Lymphoma and begins Chemo treatment this week at Phoenix Children's Hospital. Emma's insurance has a $10,000 deductible before anything is covered. The Neulasta injections she will require will incur an out of pocket cost of $18,000 above and beyond any coverage and because of Emma's treatment schedule, Emma's mom will be limiting her time at work to be right by her side every step of the way for the next 4 months effecting her income. In addition to Emma's medical expenses, these funds will help her family with living expenses, meals and giving Emma the care she needs when she is away from the hospital.
Emma's got a huge support system with so many people that love her but we need YOUR help so Emma can concentrate on what matters most which is getting back to doing the things that a 17 year old should be doing and fulfilling all those dreams.
