Hi there!!
My name is Natasha, I am 19 and I will be 20 this summer. I have felt called to missions since I was a kid, I just never fully understood what that looked like or how that was possible. Since I graduated high school in 2017 I have been trying to figure out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. Should I go back to college? What career path should I choose? Where do I want my life to go? The past two years have been confusing and heartbreaking, but have also revealed who I am as a person and what dreams I want to chase after. After trying to do this life on my own, I realize that the only way is with God. Following His will and plans for my life because they will be greater than I could ever imagine.
I have been considering doing YWAM (Youth with a Mission) in Brisbane, Australia, for about a year. I never felt like it was the right time, and I was constantly telling God, "Not yet, I'll do it. Just not yet."
Until now.
At the beginning of this year, my whole life and everything I was planning for the upcoming years came to a halt. I was finally forced to realize that planning my life out by myself, without God, is just not something I want to do. I think sometimes God lets us make our own decisions, even if they will really hurt us in the end, just so that we will come running back to Him. I want to follow His lead and trust that He has this all figured out.
YWAM is a ministry organization all over the world helping equip the generations to spread the gospel. (link to YWAM website) The first part of YWAM is the DTS, discipleship training school. There are two parts to it, spanning over six months. The first part is the lecture phase, learning more about God and creating a deeper relationship with Him. The second part is the outreach phase, where we are split up into different groups and go to different locations to apply the principles of loving others all over the world.
I have felt God pushing me towards going to YWAM. I am planning on going to the coffee and communications DTS. (link to Brisbane coffee DTS) I love coffee and how it has a way of bringing people together. I want to be able to do ministry through my own coffee shop one day and learn how to share the gospel through that. The DTS is in October 2019, and something that I would normally take about a year to plan out. I have never felt so led and at peace about such a spontaneous and scary decision ever. I know that what God has for me is more than I could imagine, and that there is so much more He wants to teach me about His children and myself that I will not be able to learn in my comfort zone.
So I am completely stepping out in faith. I am trusting God.
The school itself is about $11,000 all together, and right now I am just needing about $5,000.
Any help would mean so much to me. I know that God is going to provide and I am ready to give my life completely to Him and follow His lead. If you cannot help right now, I just ask for prayers. Prayers for the money that is needed for this trip, and safe travels to Australia.
