Young Women's Leadership

You are invited to be a part of an opportunity to creatively inspire, uplift and nurture young women and girls!

We are inviting young women from four Title 1 high schools in Texas to travel to Italy for an extraordinary leadership conference.

In addition to all the wonderful sites, tastes and joys of visiting Italy, this trip includes daily opportunities to meet with women in leadership in many areas, including: refugee relief, academic scholarship, education, farming, politics and business.  This is global citizenship in practice!

This transformative experience will cultivate attributes of strength and leadership, with an emphasis on

·       Independence

·       Self-esteem and Self-worth

·       Developing professional and personal goalsgoals

·       Crafting and discovering personal identity

·       Leadership, both local and global

PhD Candidate Lucy Bartholomee and

International Baccalaureate Coordinator Christine Fougerousse

Leadership meetings will also be held before and after the trip to support the themes of identity, education and self worth.  Most of the students in these schools have limited financial means.  With your help, we hope to take 24 young women by supporting 50% of their costs, while their families commit to raise the other 50% over the next year.  All of the funds raised here will go directly to supporting the students!
