Young at Heart Senior Pet Adoptions

When both of my grandparents passed away a year ago they left a cat and a dog without someone to take care of them. The neighbors quickly asked to adopt the dog but the then 15 year old cat, Mackie, did not have a home. Hesitant at first, but unable to think about what his future might be, I offered to take Mackie home with me. Since then, this now 16 year old cat has gotten his first toys, become addicted to treats, learned to sleep in the middle of a king size bed, and charmed the hearts of all those who have met him.

My hope is that all older animals find a loving home to live out their years surrounded by people who love them as much as I love this big guy.

I’m all for a good fundraiser and in honor of my birthday this year, and Mackie’s first year with me, it is my hope to raise money for a local shelter, Young at Heart, that believes that Love Has No Age Limit and that senior pets deserve to enjoy their golden years wrapped in the love, safety, and comfort of a loving family. I couldn’t agree more.
