Can you help send York Little League players to the East Regional Tournament, and for a possible shot to the Little League World Series in Portland, Oregon.
The York Little League U12 All-Star Softball team went 5-1 in the District tournament and have won the Maine State Championship. York went into the State Tournament going 4-0 and outscoring their opponents by 45-13 defeating Bangor in the championship game by the 10-run rule 14-3.
The 12-year-old All Stars will now travel to Bristol, CT to play in the East Region Bracket and compete for a spot in the Little League World Series!!!!. But that trip doesn't come cheap - the team is launching its "York All-Star Strong" fund-raiser in hopes of raising $20,000. The money will be used to cover team expenses to include travel, uniforms, equipment, team activities, as well as a small amount toward the travel costs for the families. It is estimated that the average family will spend $3000-$5000 for the state, regional and worlds series tournaments and we have a very short time before the team travels. The team leaves for Connecticut on Friday, July 20, 2018.
