YMCA Camp Ockanickon Bridge Project

Tax deductible
As an Eagle Scout, former camper and current staff member at YMCA Camp Ockanickon,  I am raising funds in order to rebuild a few bridges near a scenic lake at Camp Ockanickon Sleepaway camp for boys. I would like children, teens and families to be able to enjoy their walks, the scenery and to feel safe when crossing these small bridges. This project will also allow for the bridges to be more wheelchair accessible. My goal is to complete this project by the end of September of 2018.

YMCA Camp Ockanickon is located on 800 acres in the New Jersey Pine Barrens, and has grown from a summer camp solely for boys to a year-round organization offering programs to tens of thousands of children, teens and families annually.  The core operations are 3 summer camps, Ockanickon sleepaway camp for boys, Matollionequay sleepaway camp for girls and Lake Stockwell Day Camp (co-ed).

In addition, Camp serves school-age children locally – through out eight School’s Out sites – providing vital before- and after-school childcare services. We also serve students throughout the tristate area, providing environmentally focused school trips at our Outdoor Center. Churches, corporations and nonprofit groups also participate in team-building and spirit-enhancing retreats through their Outdoor Center. Year-round memberships are available, allowing people to enjoy biking, hiking, boating and socializing on our beautiful property in the Pines.
