Study Abroad - London

Donation protected
I live in a lower middle class family that has not traveled at all.  When I came across a flyer that advertised study abroad at school, I thought it would be amazing to travel but quickly dismissed the thought knowing I wouldn't be able to afford it. But when my older sister saw the same flyer she encouraged me to look into it, which I did. I saw all the different places people could go and I began to get the idea that maybe I would be able to go. I applied to the program for Statistics and Math Literacy in London, England just to humor my sister and was very surprised when I was accepted and quickly got my hopes up.  I began to apply to as many scholarships as I could knowing my family would not be able to afford it. At the moment, I am going to a community college my senior year of high school. I wouldn't be able to afford my first year otherwise. Money has always been a struggle for my family and I began working my first job at 14. Going to London would mean I could expand my horizons (literally) and do something my parents have only dreamed of doing. This money would mean so much to me since I only have until June to pay the tuition of $4,000. This money would go towards (depending on how much) the plane ride and personal expenses while abroad along with the actual tuition of the program.
