Army Reserve Soldier in Accident

Donation protected
On 3 July 2015 SPC Laboy (US Army Reserves) was traveling to his civilian job when he collided head on with a Dodge Ram.   Investigation is still on going so I cannot comment on who is at fault right now but more will follow as the investigation is done. Below is a picture of the accident scene so you can see the position of the vehicles involved.

SPC Laboy is one of those Soldiers who lives the Army values and is a true professional 24x7.  He has been involved in so many community events that you have probably seen his pictures. They have been circulated all over Facebook. For those of you who follow the Sergeant Major of the Army, the Army Reserve Command Sergeant Major or the US Army Reserve Command facebook sites you have seen his picture as backgrounds and even as todays 4th of July message.

He is currently in a medically induced coma with the following issues.
1. Spleen is lacerated
2. Liver is lacerated
3. Kidney is lacerated
4. Internal bleeding from above 3
5. Left leg and foot are broken and will have to be surgically repaired
6. Right hip is broken
7. Right shoulder is broken
8. Right clavicle is broken
9. Nose is broken
10. There is blood pooling in his brain
11. He has severe burns on his right side
12. He is experiencing tachycardia (rapid heart rate)

He is scheduled for a second surgery tomorrow morning. We will post any updates.

We want to raise money to help cover his additional expenses.  Being a US Army Reserve Soldier (not active duty) he does not have 100% medical coverage. This means that he will incur massive medical bills. Just covering deductibles and items not covered by insurance will be difficult.  With the extent of his injuries he will not be returning to work any time soon. We are hoping to raise enough money for him to keep a roof over his head, keep his bills current, and cover his medical expenses.

Please donate what you can.
