Help Needed After House Fire

Pat Hurley and her partner Glenn MacDonald, along with their 8 year old grandson have lost everything in a house fire over the weekend. They lived in this home in Glace Bay for 16 years and the home was extensively damaged by fire. They did not have any tenant’s insurance and have lost everything they own. We set up this gofundme page to try to help this amazing family get back on their feet.
We are in the process of trying to find a place in Glace Bay close to the Food Bank as that is where Pat has worked for the past 12 years since 2001. She has worked tirelessly to help families in need and right now this family needs your help more than ever.
Anyone not able to help financially but willing to donate any items are asked to drop donations off at the Glace Bay Food Bank. You can phone [phone redacted] to leave your phone number and someone will get back to you. Immediate needs include:
• Boy’s clothing — Size 16 pants, large shirts, large jackets and size 3 boy’s shoes. Family says his clothes has to be cotton because he has numerous allergies and eczema.
• Women’s clothing — Size large tops, size 12-13 pants, 7.5 (wide) sneakers and large jackets.
• Men’s clothing — Size 34 waist and 30 leg men’s pants, large shirts and jackets and size 9 shoes.
