Hagans Family Surviving The Tornado

Donation protected
An EF2 tornado destroyed the home of Charlene (66) and her son, Shane (43) on February 9, 2017, leaving them trapped underneath the heavy debris for over an hour with multiple injuries. Shane was flown to Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA while Charlene was transported there by ambulance. Shane's injuries consist of 3 broken ribs, broken vertebraes, collapsed lung, several deep lacerations on his head, severe lacerations to the bone on his right arm, shoulder, and leg, and a laceration to his side all requiring drain tubes to prevent infection. It will be a long and painful recovery requiring physical therapy to regain strength and movement so that he can return to his job at First Baptist Church in Statesboro, Ga. Charlene's injuries consist of broken vertebraes, laceration on lower left leg, cuts, bruises, and immense pain. She will also undergo physical therapy to regain mobility and hopes to return to her beloved job at Merle Norman in Statesboro as soon as she is physically able. Not only did the family lose their home, but lost both their car and truck when the tornado ripped through their area. They have lost everything but their faith in God who they both have said carried them through the storm. We are asking for any help to build a new home for this mother and son in hope to replace what mother nature so quickly destroyed. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers and may God bless you.
