On Friday at approximately 12:30 pm SLPD received a 911 call for a vehicle vs bicycle accident at the intersection of Maine St X N 2nd Ave in which an 11 year old juvenile male had been hit and injured.
Taylor was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Then air flighted to Sacred Heart.
Parents! Please educate your children on the importance of proper bicycle safety, especially during this time of year when so many young kids ride to and from the lake. Bicyclists are required to follow the same laws on roadways as vehicles.
Drivers! Please use extra caution when you see bicyclists on our city streets.
