Help Diesel Walk Again

Our beloved Diesel dog had an awful accident on Monday the 25th. He was riding in the back of an ATV and fell off.  He has done this a million times, but for whatever reason this time was different. Since then he's been in the Steamboat Vet Hospital, and was transferred to Denver today. He is currently quadriplegic:  immobile from the neck down. He has needed 24-7 care since his accident. He is now in the care of an excellent spinal neurosurgeon, and Dr. Lane believes that Diesel has either sustained a stroke to his cervical spinal column, or herniated his cervical discs causing paralysis. He will undergo an MRI tomorrow morning and may be having emergency surgery right after. Diesel has a long road ahead of him and needs all of the help he can get. After the hospitalization he will be needing lots of rehabilitation, and will probably be cruising around on a set of doggie wheels! Diesel does have pet insurance, but it does not cover everything he will need. These funds will help pay for his medical bills, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medications and travel expenses. The Grimes family appreciates any help they can get. Diesel's neurosurgeon has high hopes for his recovery, and we will do whatever it takes to get him walking again!!

Thanks to Steamboat Vet Hospital for stabilizing Diesel and helping us get him to Rocky Mountain Vetrinary Neurology in Denver. Also, special thanks to all our friends and family over the past few days that have helped us with this tragedy.
