Puerto Rico Needs Us Now

My name Dr.Gloria Bonilla-Santiago, Rutgers Professor and board Member of el Centro Para Puerto Rico Inc in Puerto Rico . I am a native from  Sabana Grande , Puerto Rico, and I presently reside  in Voorhees NJ .  
I am fundraising funds for the victims who loss their homes in PuertoRico . I served on the Center for Puerto Rico Inc Board of Trustees where we work with many poor families and raising funds to support the important efforts of recovery of homes for many families who loss everything and in communities that the Centro works with throughout the island.
I intent to personally deliver a check to Centro Para Puerto Rico n as soon as I meet my 20,000 thousand goal.

The intend of this  Fund has been established to reach as many people to help and support Puerto Rico and our people now.  The need is immediate and we cannot wait to send help.  Thousands have lost their homes and everything that they worked for throughout their entire lives.   Businesses are gone, hospitals are not operational, stores are closed, there is no electricity, water or supplies.  People are striving to survive and the despair is real.   This fund is spearheaded by the Rutgers-Camden Community Leadership Center which works with our Puerto Rican community in Camden and in Puerto Rico through the many programs offered in Puerto Rico.   Our lives here in the Diaspora and in the Island are always connected through family, history and culture.  Puerto Rico is part of our lives and our hearts are heavy from seeing the conditions of our brothers, sisters, friends and family members that have been impacted.  The entire Island is suffering and our help is needed now so we urge you to act now and give.  Puerto Rico is a resilient Island and our people will rebuild and be stronger, but right now, they need our help.  Every bit helps and think that your contribution can save lives.
