Mike's Cancer Fight

Our family has found ourselves in the midst of a battle that so many other families are facing. Cancer. My 48-year-old brother Mike was recently diagnosed with bladder cancer. We were told it was stage 2 and that he would have surgery and take 3 months to recover, but today, January 16th, Mike received the news that it looks like the cancer has spread outside of his bladder into his prostate and possibly into his bones. He was told that his particular cancer is not responsive to Chemo or Radiation. He has an appointment (day surgery) on Tuesday 19th, for a more in-depth look. 

We are sitting here in shock. So many thoughts and emotions invade in the midst of trying to remain optimistic for his prognosis, yet we see the reality of the situation before us, financially, medically, emotionally, spiritually. 

His daughter Micaela is in her first year at Western WA University and his son is a junior in High School. 
He is a faithful and hard working provider for his wife and children and he is now facing this unfathomable mountain of the unknown. Mike is trying to soak all of this in but it's extremely difficult for him to communicate so if you'd like to reach out to him or Debbie via text or email... give him a big thumbs up to let him know you care. 

Currently, we are trying to look at just the next 4-6 months of financial needs for medical and living expenses while he is away from work to fight this battle. The amount may need to be adjusted.
