Remembrance Wreath Wootton Bassett
Since 2014 I have been commemorating men from Wootton Bassett and the surrounding rural area who died in The Great War, WW1.
I do this single handedly, by laying a wreath (funded by the Area Board), displaying a poster on the anniversary of their death, adding a page in their memory on my website, and sharing their stories with descendents.
I have identified 107 men in total, but I don't preclude the discovery of others over the next couple of years.
The original wreath is now tired and falling apart, so I have had a replacement made. However, I only have £16 left to pay for it. I am therefore appealing for donations towards the cost, which is £200. Any excess raised will pay for refreshing the wreath and printing future posters.
I am very grateful for every contribution. Thank you.
