Friends. For the past year I have been doing WorshipU (Bethel’s online school of worship) and this summer I have the incredible opportunity to attend Bethel Music Worship School in Redding, California! Initially, when I applied I sat on our couch and cried. For me, this is something I’ve dreamt of since I was 14 years old and it was a huge step for me even just to apply. It’s an even bigger step to humble myself and invite you all on this journey with me.
Mal and I have poured SO MUCH prayer into this. For us, this is a huge commitment financially, spiritually, and emotionally that we do not take lightly. My heart has always been for others to experience Jesus and the power of His presence through worship, and this is an opportunity for me to learn from some of the most anointed, powerful, and influential worship leaders in the world. My desire in all of this is to grow in order to better serve and minister to my community.
Bethel Music Worship School will take place July 9th-20th in Redding, CA and offers 150+ classes on Worship and Leading.
What is WorshipU?
“WorshipU exists to equip and empower worshipers to live a transformed life, while transforming the world around them. WorshipU provides online worship-training focusing on character development, leadership, foundations of worship, musical skills, and instrument training. WorshipU aims to cultivate a lifestyle of worship in the hearts of our students through teachings that emphasize kingdom values, creativity, and advancing technical skill.”
What is Bethel Music Worship School?
“Bethel Music Worship School is a two-week intensive training held in Redding, California for worship leaders, songwriters, and creatives. Taught by the Bethel Music team and guest instructors, Bethel Music Worship School is a transformational time to grow in your craft and cultivate a deeper connection to God through worship and community.”
I know when we give to missions we want to know what exactly it is that we are sewing into so below I have broken down the cost of living, travel, and tuition.
Financial Breakdown:
Tuition: $849
Housing: $700
Flight: $450
Rental Car: $300
Total amount to raise: $2,299
*Bethel does not provide housing so I’ll be staying at an Airbnb in Redding. I will be flying into Oakland, CA (cheaper flights), and I will need a rental car to make the 4hr drive to Redding and then drive to and from Bethel each day.
Most importantly, please partner with us in prayer as we step out in faith and on this journey. As I said earlier this is a HUGE commitment for us in many ways so any form of support we receive means so much to us.
