Help LiNK interns after theft
Donation protected
After a fantastic presentation on North Korean defectors and efforts to help them resettle outside of North Korea for my undergraduate class at San Francisco State University , 3 unpaid interns from the NGO LiNK (Liberty in North Korea) returned to their van parked near campus to find it had been ransacked and all of their possessions stolen. They lost personal laptops, suitcases full of clothes and personal belongings. One of the interns is a recent graduate of the SFSU International Relations department who came back to give a presentation for our department on her experience with the NGO. As 'nomad' interns they travel up and down the state raising awareness of the struggles of defectors and humanizing the people of North Korea that are often overlooked due to the stereotypes we have of their country. I feel terrible that this wonderful event was overshadowed by city crooks and theft from those that can least afford it. I am raising money to help off-set even a small portion of their losses. Thank you for your contributions!
