Family Displaced By Bath Rd. Fire

We need your help! We are the Maxam family and we were the neighbours in the duplex that caught on fire on Bath Rd. Our home is damaged from smoke and water and is uninhabitable. We did not have content insurance and we are now living in a hotel out of pocket. There has been little help from the Red Cross for persons displaced by fire and Ontario Works/Housing  said we do not qualify because we were not behind in rent. We need to find a new home!
There are 4 of us in our family and our youngest is just in Grade 4 in Kingston, Ontario. Fortunately, the Kingston Fire Department was able to save our family pets.
We need help paying for food, toiletries, clothing, and animal food just to survive the next few weeks. We would really appreciate help in paying for first and last month’s rent to a new home. Our income is limited and every little bit will help in this time of need. We appreciate all the help we can get and thank you greatly in advance.
