Zachary Lammers Scholarship Fund

The mission of the Z11 Youth Football Camp is to establish a scholarship program in the name of Zachary “Zack” Lammers, a truly inspiring man. He was tragically taken too soon at the young age of 27, but through this scholarship he will never be forgotten. Each year the scholarship will be awarded to a young man who exemplifies the qualities and values of Zack. Zack strived to set positive examples, not only on the field and in the classroom, but in all aspects of life.  He believed it was about making a difference in people’s lives and giving back whenever you had the chance.  Zack was a gifted student-athlete, a shining force on the football and baseball fields, winning 3 state championships at Lockport Township High School. He graduated at the top of his class earning admission to Brown University, where he was recruited to play football. Zack’s childhood dream of attending an Ivy League university came true. After graduating in 2009 with a degree in Economics, he continued on to a career in the financial/commercial lending industry working in New York and Chicago. Above everything else, Zack was an exceptional leader in every sense of the word, who led by example with integrity and character. He exemplified passion, dedication and perseverance, treating everyone with respect and admiration. Zack has left us- his family and friends- and all those whose lives he touched with an incredible legacy. He set a standard for everyone around him by the way he lived his life, which is an example for us all to strive towards. The recipient of the Zack Lammers Memorial Scholarship will embody all of these characteristics. This camp is not just about preparing young athletes for football, but preparing them for life. Zack always said, “You won’t succeed at anything without putting 2 feet in,” a mantra we can all live by. There are always opportunities to be better in every aspect of life. This is the goal of the Z11 Youth Football Camp.
