Raising money for Amanda

My daughter, Amanda, was in a terrible car accident on Wednesday, November 26, 2019 (The day before Thanksgiving.). She also had her boyfriend’s 3-year-old daughter with her. The accident was not her fault and she was “t-boned” by someone who ran a red light.

Luckily, the 3-year-old is fine physically. Despite that, this has been a very traumatic experience for Amanda mentally, physically and emotionally. 

Amanda had a major head trauma which induced blood on her brain. She had several lacerations on her face and punctures on her leg that received sutures. She had a broken nose, fibula and several fractures on her pelvis. She also had a laceration on her liver and several broken ribs.

All those injuries are nothing compared to the loss of her unborn child. She was almost 6 months along and, unfortunately, she lost what would have been her first child.

Physically this is just the beginning of the healing process and mentally this will be a long road.

The doctors are telling Amanda that she will be off work for at least 3 months. That length of time with only one income (her boyfriend’s) will destroy them financially.

They were also in the middle of moving at the time of the accident and some household things that had not been taken out of the trunk were therefore, destroyed. She had to have her coat and clothing cut-off of her including her shoes.                                                                                      -We please ask that in a time of vulnerability to please give and share all that you are able too.
