Darcie's Medical Fund

My sister Darcie took a really bad fall in February on some ice.  She has progressively gotten worse.  In the past few weeks Darcie was so bad that she could barely walk.

Last week she fell and we called 911.  They took her to the hospital and did the x-rays.  The x-rays showed that she broke almost 5 inches of her humerus and it lodged up into her shoulder.  So they admitted her because she was in need of surgery.  I spoke with the attending doctor that she was not able to walk very good or stand.

He decided that they needed to do an MRI.  After 2 MRI's they discovered a tumor in her spine and had to do an emergency surgery to remove the tumor and place a rod in her spine.  They had to do the surgery very fast because the window was too small for Darcie to never walk again.  While doing the surgery they noticed more tumors in her shoulder, hip and a few other areas.

The surgery went well and she was able to move her legs again.   So that was a awesome for us to see.  The tumor results came back on Tuesday that the tumor was cancerous.  So they will need to do radiation and chemotherapy when she is able to walk again.

She will be out of work for quite a while but she will not have an income for 3 to 4 months until the short term disability kicks in.  Her insurance will only cover 1 hour of Physical Therapy as well.

She is focusing on healing, her sons and her grandchildren.  They all love her so much and they will help her to focus on her new journey.

So if anyone wants to help in her time of need it will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.
