Louis Owles

As many of you know in the early hours of Saturday 26th April 2014, our close friend Louis Owles suffered a life changing accident. At around ( 03:00 ) Louis swung from the height restriction bar in Elms Carpark, he lost his grip which resulted in him hitting his head on the floor and loosing consciousness. Louis was seen by paramedics but as he was conscious he did not want to attend the Hopsital for what he believed to be a minor injury.  Louis was rushed to the John Radcliff hospital in Oxford where a number of surgeries were carried out to save Louis, this is when they found out that due to Louis fall he had a slow bleed at the back of his brain. Being the soilder he is, with a week being spent in a medically induced coma to reduce stress on the brain, he pulled through. Over a year later Louis has made some incredible improvements and is now in what is called a minimum consciousness state with blinking and certain hand movements letting us know he knows who is there. He is becoming more and more aware of his surroundings everyday and his family cannot thank everyone enough for the support they and Louis have received. Louis is currently living and a Neuro Rehabilitation and Care Home where he has incredible 24 hour care. We are raising money for Louis and his family in order to give them all the support they need. Louis family have been incredible throughout his recovery with his mum, Cat spending almost every waking hour at his bed side. Cat has not only done everything she can to help Louis, she has also become like a second mother for all of Louis friends and has helped us through one of the most difficult times. The money we raise will not only help towards care for Louis but also help his family to buy him anything that will aid his recovery.
We have also set up a Facebook page where we will post anything that we are going to do in order to raise money for Louis, the page is called 'Fundraising For Louis Owles' so please join the group and share it so that we can raise as much money as we can.
