Kidney recipient

I feel so fortunate to have finally received a kidney transplant. I have been waiting for almost 8 years. I had some hurdles to concur and surgeries to get through before being listed. The first year is costly. The medication alone can cost $2000 a month. I will be out of work for a few months and even though I have great insurance it doesn't cover everything. I didn't want to do a go fund me initially but as reality sets in I realized I needed to reconsider. Medical staff strongly suggested I consider creating an account. The dollar amount I selected is probably modest. Any help would be appreciated.
