Kristin’s Medical Bills

Donation protected

What started out as a headache on March 29th, progressed over the next 6 days to something so much more. After some pushing from coworkers, Kristin was taken to the 212 Medical Center and admitted into the ER on Tuesday April 3rd. It’s was around 8:30pm when doctors came in and took her blood pressure and to everyone’s shock it was 227 over 119!!!! They immediately took her for an MRI which did not result in anything. They then took her for a CT Scan. They found two Brain Aneurysms!!! Within 15 minutes from her return to her room, they were preparing her for transfer by ambulance to Abbot Hospital Neuro ICU! When she got to Abbot they did a CT Scan with contrast to see just how severe the aneurysms were. They found one around the right temple which was under 2mm and one between her eyes which was over 3mm!  Around 11 am the following morning she was brought for a Lumbar Puncture to see if either of the aneurysms has leaked. At that point they did not see any leakage. The doctors then  spent the day trying to regulate her blood pressure so she could get ready for surgery the following morning.  On Thursday April 5th at 9:30 am Kristin went into surgery. What should have only been a 3 hour surgery resulted in 5.5 hours where they were able to place a stent in the aneurysm behind her eyes. Unfortunately they found that her blood vessels were in spasm and they were not able to place the coil pack. They decided to pull her out of surgery so the blood vessels could calm down so she would be able to continue surgery the next day. At 7:30 the following morning she went into surgery where again they found another problem. The aneurysm was bigger than they expected and had started showing signs of leakage!! Thankfully the doctors were able to set the coil pack into place and lay a pipeline to divert some of the blood flow. Kristin then spent the next 2 days in the ICU to be monitored so they could be sure that things were working as they should. We are so blessed to have her here with us as the doctors told her that had she had not gone in that evening, she would not have woken up the next day! However,  as blessed as she is, unfortunately she does not have any medical insurance so all of that and all of the future difficulties that she will face, she has to pay out of pocket. The bills from the hospital are very high and all of the medications that are needed to help continue to keep her healthy are very expensive. That is why I started this fund. Any little bit can and will help!!! Kristin, her husband Kyle are so appreciative for all of the prayers and any donation big or small you can make. She has finally received the ok to try to work a few hours a week!!!!! I want to thank all of you for taking the time to read this and even if you can not afford to help, prayers are always needed!! Health wise she is doing so amazing!
